EDUCATION NEWS

  • The campus recapped a busy fall with pop-ups, the visit from ESPN College Gameday for the White Out game, a Homecoming parade, FTK on Oct. 26, a HUB celebration on Nov. 12, the first snowfall, new downtown dining spots, and the arrival of Penn State football head coach Matt Campbell.  Onward State

  • Downtown shops offer unique Penn State-themed Christmas gifts — including nutcrackers, snow globes, and ornaments — that bring blue-and-white festive cheer to homes this holiday season.  Onward State

SPORTS NEWS

  • Florida setter Alexis Stucky announced her transfer to Penn State women’s volleyball via Instagram Sunday night. She will join teammates Kennedy Martin and incoming freshman Danielle Whitmire in Happy Valley after averaging 10.31 assists per set at Florida.  Onward State
  • Penn State women's basketball lost 95–55 to No. 3 South Carolina Sunday as the Lady Lions struggled with turnovers and fouls — they fell into a three-game losing streak and will face VCU at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Henrico.  Daily Collegian
  • Penn State women’s volleyball earned a commitment from Florida transfer Alexis Stucky, who will join incoming freshman Danielle Whitmire (the team now has two setters).  Daily Collegian
  • Former Penn State star Micah Parsons tore his ACL in the third quarter of the Packers' game against the Broncos today and will miss the rest of the NFL season pending test results (he had 12.5 sacks this season).  Onward State
  • Penn State added commitments from class of 2026 safeties Bryson Williams and Tyrell Chatman on Saturday and Sunday after they switched allegiance from Iowa State to follow head coach Matt Campbell to State College. They join quarterback Peyton Falzone and edge rusher Jackson Ford in a growing recruiting class.  StateCollege.com
  • Penn State field hockey will not retain head coach Lisa Bervinchak Love (after 30 years on staff) as the team finished its season 7-10; the university will begin its search for a new coach immediately.  Onward State
  • Penn State added three-star punter Lucas Tenbrock to its 2026 signing class after he was released from Iowa State, announcing his commitment Sunday afternoon in State College. Listed at 6-foot-6 (220 lb), he is ranked No. 5 nationally among punters.  StateCollege.com
  • Penn State added three‑star quarterback Kase Evans on Sunday afternoon, becoming the program’s third commit that day. Evans joins a recruiting class that has surged to No. 133 nationally as the team builds toward a stronger future.  StateCollege.com
