- ➤ On Sept. 15, the 27th annual Penn State United Way Golf Tournament raised over $123K at the Penn State Golf Courses—exceeding last year’s total by over $20K—to support Centre County United Way's education, health and financial stability programs. Next year’s tournament is set for Sept. 21, 2026. Penn State
- ➤ Members from Penn State and State College gathered at the Allen Street Gates Saturday to support Ukraine during its conflict with Russia as the Ukrainian Student Society held its biweekly rally. - ➤ Centre County celebrates the holidays. Downtown State College held a festive First Friday at Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza, the Centre County Historical Society is hosting Stocking Stuffer today at Centre Furnace Mansion (1001 E. - ➤ The Penn State Learning Factory will host its end-of-semester capstone design showcase on Dec. 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center — a free in-person event — and a virtual showcase will run from Dec. 12 through Dec. 19 for engineering students to present their projects. Penn State

- ➤ Penn State’s Lady Lions lost to Nebraska on Saturday afternoon at the Bryce Jordan Center after 18 turnovers and weak defense allowed a 20-point gap and 101 points. Coach Carolyn Kieger said the team’s mistakes were self-inflicted — they must improve ball control and defense. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State wrestling returns to Rec Hall today at 1:00 p.m. to face Lehigh after a win in Philadelphia; the event features several key rematches including a bout between Luke Lilledahl and Sheldon Seymour that could boost the Nittany Lions’ season. Daily Collegian
