- ➤ Penn State University Police and Public Safety, in partnership with Intercollegiate Athletics, will host its second annual 'Cram the Cruiser' donation drive for Toys for Tots on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center in front of Gate B, and donations may also be dropped off at other campus locations through Friday, Dec. 5. - ➤ A new stand-up comedy show titled 'Three Scotts and a Not' will take place Saturday, November 29 at 8 p.m. at Arena Bar & Grill on Martin Street in State College—tickets cost $15 online with fees or $20 at the door. WTAJ

- ➤ Students in a Penn State agribusiness course partnered with Kate’s Real Food to find local, organic ingredients for the company’s snack production—giving the business new ideas to improve its supply chain. The project also provided hands-on experience that prepares students for real-world challenges. Penn State

- ➤ Penn State and the Department of Education asked the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to stop releasing internal trustee documents after a lower court ruled the records stored on their cloud service must be shared—Spotlight PA will file its response soon. StateCollege.com
- ➤ State College has once again earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Municipal Equality Index for the seventh straight year, scoring 115 points—100 from standard and 15 flex—by using inclusive policies and services. It is one of six Pennsylvania municipalities with perfect ratings and among over 130 U.S. cities to reach a top score. StateCollege.com

- ➤ Researchers at Penn State developed NaviSense, a smartphone app that helps visually impaired people find objects using voice commands and hand guidance via audio and vibrations—this tool won Best Audience Choice Poster Award at the SIGACCESS ASSETS '25 conference in Denver. The team is now working to lower battery use and speed up the AI before the tool is released for wider use. Penn State

- ➤ Penn State libero Gillian Grimes was selected by the San Diego Mojo with the fourth pick (2nd round) of the 2025 Major League Volleyball Draft, and she will finish her season with the Nittany Lions before turning pro. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State running back Kaytron Allen was named East-West Shrine Bowl Offensive Player of the Week after he broke the school’s all-time rushing record by running 160 yards and two touchdowns (with a key 3-yard dash to surpass Evan Royster). He finished the season with 1,077 yards and 14 touchdowns (on 188 attempts) under interim head coach Terry Smith. Onward State
- ➤ Penn State men's hockey fell to No. 9 in the USCHO poll after a series split with Minnesota and a 2-4 run since Nov. 7 — the team is now the fourth-highest in the Big Ten and will start a home-and-home series against RIT on Jan. 3. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Kaytron Allen, a senior running back for Penn State, was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after he rushed 160 yards and scored two touchdowns against Nebraska – he surpassed records set by Saquon Barkley and Evan Royster and shared the honor with Northwestern quarterback Preston Stone. - ➤ Penn State women’s basketball beat San Diego State 83-67 in the Bahamas during the Battle 4 Atlantis, building a 51-34 halftime lead with strong play from Gracie Merkle and Kiyomi McMiller. The Lady Lions will return to State College to face Yale at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Rec Hall—adding another key game to their schedule. Onward State
- ➤ Penn State women’s hockey jumped from No.6 to No.4 in the latest USCHO poll after winning two games over RIT—extending their unbeaten streak and setting up a two-game series in Boston against No.7 Northeastern at 3:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Will Soto, a two-time New York State Champion, announced his commitment to Penn State on Monday (via Instagram) and is ranked No. 4 at 106 pounds entering the 2025-26 season. He will join the Nittany Lions in the Class of 2027, continuing the KD Training Center pipeline. Daily Collegian
- ➤ After a poor effort on Saturday, Penn State’s women’s basketball team changed its defense and recorded 14 steals to beat San Diego State 83-67 at Paradise Island—improving to a 5-1 record—and they will meet the Yale Bulldogs at noon Sunday. Daily Collegian
