- ➤ A Penn State student has written an open letter urging officials to book more popular live music shows at local venues since past events have not met the high expectations set by earlier concerts featuring major artists + the student said that more frequent big-name concerts would keep students from having to travel for affordable and engaging music experiences. - ➤ Professor Heather McCune Bruhn leads hands-on art history and geoscience activities at Borland Project Space through Nov.7; the space at 125 Borland is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday—visitors can handle rocks, view 3D-printed models, and try craft techniques. Penn State

- ➤ César de la Fuente, a renowned professor from the University of Pennsylvania known for his work in AI-assisted antibiotic discovery, will deliver a lecture at 11 a.m. on Dec. 5 at Foster Auditorium at Penn State—registration is required for in-person or online attendance. Penn State
- ➤ Casey Yates was unanimously named as the new principal for Park Forest Middle School in Patton Township and will begin after January 1, 2026. - ➤ Penn State’s Bike Den will host a free winter biking workshop on Nov. 12 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. for students and local community members (18+) that will cover road rules and bike safety tips, and each attendee will receive a free set of Penn State bike lights at the indoor venue on the West Deck. - ➤ Penn State football will host Indiana at noon Saturday at Beaver Stadium with premium gates opening at 9 a.m. and other public gates opening at 10 a.m. Penn State Transportation Services announced campus parking decks and nearby roadways will have modified procedures and closures (drivers must remove vehicles from closed lots by midnight Friday) to manage game day traffic.
