- ➤ The Centre Pieces Quilt Guild is hosting a free beginner sewing and quilting workshop for kids today from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This 4-week class requires registration, limits enrollment to 10 children ages 8 to 14, and teaches basic machine sewing skills through hands-on projects—using provided machines and all materials. - ➤ Seventeen players are listed out for Penn State’s football game against Iowa at Kinnick Stadium; starting quarterback Drew Allar, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury, leads the inactive list + backup quarterback Bekkem Kritza is marking his seventh missed game. Other wide receivers, linemen, defensive backs, and linebackers are also sidelined as the team prepares for the matchup. Onward State
- ➤ No. 6 Penn State extended its win streak to eight with a two-game sweep of No. 15 Mercyhurst—winning 3-0 on Friday and 6-1 on Saturday as goaltender Katie DeSa made key saves and record-breaking plays. - ➤ Penn State will play Iowa on Saturday night without starting left guard Vega Ioane (71) and quarterback Drew Allar, whose broken ankle ended his college career last week. - ➤ Matt DiMarsico set a record in Friday night's game by scoring his second hat trick of the season as Penn State rallied for a 5-4 comeback win over LIU.
