- ➤ Wawa announced its plan to open 10 new stores in Centre and surrounding counties during a community event in State College, with six sites in the county at locations along Route 26+ Squirrel Drive, North Atherton+ West Aaron Drive, and Route 150+ Eagle Point, plus additional sites in Yeagertown and Mill Hall. The first stores will open in 2026 and are expected to create about 350 jobs while hiring 35 associates and 140 local contractors at each location. WTAJ
