EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Teaching and Learning with Technology is enrolling faculty and staff in the Provost Endorsement Program—AI-Enhanced Pedagogy until Sept. 30 for fall events that include a mix of in-person and online sessions. Participants will learn to use generative AI tools to revise courses and create an instructional philosophy video. Penn State

- ➤ Penn State has landed a pledge from defensive lineman Tavian Branch—a 6’5, 300-pound player from Taylor who reversed his commitment to Rutgers. He is now at Beaver Stadium for the FIU matchup and is expected to play defensive tackle in Penn State's 2026 recruiting class. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State’s report shows that defensive end Zuriah Fisher is healthy and will be available for the FIU game while cornerback Zion Tracy is set to play after his questionable status last week. Several players including defensive ends Max Granville, Mason Robinson, and Jordan Mayer remain out—deepening concerns over the team's depth at key positions. StateCollege.com
- ➤ Running back Nick Singleton joined Penn State’s elite 3,000-yard rushers on Saturday at Beaver Stadium—he reached 3,007 yards on a 10-yard run in the third quarter. Later, teammate Kaytron Allen added 67 yards on a touchdown run to join the club and help secure a 34-0 win. StateCollege.com
- ➤ Three-star defensive lineman Tavian Branch committed to Penn State football during his official visit on Saturday—he decommitted from Rutgers and became the third defensive lineman recruit in the class of 2026. The Taylor native chose Penn State over schools such as Oklahoma, Alabama, and Auburn. Onward State
- ➤ Devonte Ross caught three passes for 63 yards including a 42-yard touchdown on pass interference against FIU so he introduced himself to Penn State fans. The Cartersville native also returned a punt for 17 yards—he is expected to add depth as the receivers recover from camp bumps. Onward State
