- ➤ Centre County Judge Jonathan Grine vacated the conviction Thursday for State College man Subu Vedam, who spent over 40 years in prison for the 1980 murder of Thomas Kinser — prosecutors now may retry his decades-old case, appeal the decision or drop the charges to free the 64-year-old man. - ➤ Former Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers on August 28. The trade involved two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark and secured a four-year—$188 million contract extension with $136 million guaranteed. Daily Collegian
- ➤ No. 9 Penn State Women's Soccer defeated Santa Clara 2-0 on Thursday night at Jeffrey Field in its Military Appreciation match. Aubrey Kulpa scored both goals and the Nittany Lions maintained strong possession — they will face James Madison on Sunday at 6 p.m. Onward State
