- ➤ No.2 Penn State women’s volleyball swept Creighton in the AVCA First Serve showcase with strong plays from Kennedy Martin and Jordan Hopp, earning a 3 to 0 win in their national title defense. The Nittany Lions will travel to Sioux Falls on Monday at 6:30 p.m.—they will face Kansas next. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State’s offense is set to be among the nation’s best as senior quarterback Drew Allar returns with new receiver transfers boosting the pass game and running backs competing for strong seasons—coach James Franklin and offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki expect the team to use its deep line to contend for top honors this season. - ➤ Nick Kern Jr., a former Penn State basketball wing, signed with the Sheffield Sharks on Friday + he will join the team for the 2025-26 season to begin his professional career. - ➤ Penn State men's hockey released its Big Ten schedule for the 2025-26 season after months of waiting. The Nittany Lions begin conference play on Oct. 30 with a two-game road set at Ohio State, then face Michigan State on Nov. 7-8, start their home series against Michigan on Nov. 14-15, and finish at home on Mar. 6 against the Badgers—other matchups include games with Minnesota, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin.
