  • Penn State Ag Progress Days will begin tomorrow, Aug. 12, when local farmers and residents gather to view new agricultural advances at a three-day event expecting nearly 50,000 visitors, and traffic may be delayed from the single car entry off Route 45.  WTAJ

HEALTH NEWS

  • LMH Physical Therapy Institute opened a new clinic on July 30 at 174 Buckaroo Lane in Bellefonte — its second Centre County location — to help patients recover from surgery, injury and pain. Doctors Jesse Friend and Grace Good use the latest methods to treat patients, and the clinic accepts most major insurance plans while scheduling appointments within 24 hours.  StateCollege.com

  • The Penn State Smeal College of Business Borrelli Institute for Real Estate Studies will host a panel discussion on real estate, asset protection, real estate tax and corporate law on Aug. 29 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Nittany Lion Inn Ballroom, and the panel includes Robert Kiyosaki + Garrett Sutton + Ted Sutton + Tom Wheelright.  Penn State

  • Cambria County’s West Suburban Little League won the Little League Softball World Series title Sunday at Stallings Stadium in Greenville after Sadie Divido scored the decisive run off a Reagan Bills hit in a six-inning defensive battle against Floyds Knobs Community Club—giving Pennsylvania its first championship since Shippensburg won in 1978.  WTAJ
  • Penn State added outfielder Maddox McDonald from Trinity to fill gaps amid departures caused by past and upcoming decisions. He impressed with quick throws+fluid swings at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, and his play may help boost the team's defense in future games.  Daily Collegian
  • Former Nittany Lions played in every NFL preseason game last week as teams tried new players and plans. Several players—like Sean Clifford, Tyler Warren and Kalen King—made key plays that may boost their roles this season.  StateCollege.com
  • Penn State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles said the team must move fast from great to elite as head coach Franklin pushes every detail for a national championship run.
