- ➤ A faculty member, Melanie Miller Foster, and a graduate student, Mia Sullivan, from Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences were honored at the 71st North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture conference in Alberta, Canada. - ➤ 7.5 miles of new trails opened at Rothrock State Park on July 10 as part of a plan to build a 50-mile loop that connects communities in Centre and Huntingdon counties—phase two began on June 4 to add 11 miles for biking, hiking, and horseback riding. The project received $2.4 million in funding from DCNR, local governments, and private groups. WTAJ

- ➤ Penn State wrestling earned the commitment of top recruit Landon Sidun—ranked No. 2 nationally—who committed Friday and will join the team for the 2027—28 season after finishing high school. - ➤ State College Regional Airport will offer Penn State football fans a direct flight option for the Buckeyes game at Ohio State this fall. United Airlines will operate a 50-seat roundtrip flight that departs on Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. and arrives in Columbus at 3:24 p.m.—the return flight on Nov. 2 leaves at noon and arrives at 1:08 p.m. with ticket prices from $199 to $349.
