- ➤ The Historic Bellefonte Cruise will return for its 36th edition this Father's Day weekend in downtown Bellefonte. Organizers will kick off the celebration with an open cruise on Friday, June 13 at 6 p.m.—followed by a full-day car show and live music on Saturday, June 14 that will feature over 30 judged vehicle classes and school scholarships. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A new 47‑foot photographic streetscape of College Avenue has been installed on permanent display on the third floor of the State College Municipal Building. The exhibit compares 1972 photos taken by Penn State students with updated images captured in 2023 to 2024 by local photographer Chuck Fong—commissioned by the Centre County Historical Society with support from the borough. - ➤ Penn State men’s hockey associate coach Keith Fisher was hired as Lindenwood’s new head coach for its men's ice hockey program, and an official announcement is expected today. Fisher (13 years at Penn State) helped the team reach its first Frozen Four and win its first conference championship (a historic achievement). Onward State
- ➤ This past weekend, Penn State held its third official visit weekend for 2026 recruits — headlined by heavy defensive line prospects like 4-star Luke Wafle, Carter Meadows and Tyson Harley — and saw key offensive and special teams prospects visit as well. - ➤ After Friday night's House V. NCAA settlement approval, Penn State secured 3-star cornerback Amauri Polydor’s commitment to join the 2026 class. Polydor, who shined at Mt. Zion Prep and later at St. Frances Academy — his quick instincts stand out — showed great ball skills and may excel under cornerbacks coach Terry Smith. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State approved a new NCAA agreement that will allow the school to pay about $20.5 million next season to athletes for using their name, image, and likeness — the deal also lifts roster scholarship limits with current players grandfathered in.
