SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Penn State men’s hockey players Jaxon Cover, Pierce Mbuyi and Gavin McKenna will participate in the NHL Combine today as teams conduct interviews, medical tests and 12 fitness drills to evaluate future draft prospects. Onward State
- ➤ In May, Penn State football added seven recruits to its 2027 class including wide receiver Jamir Dean, quarterback Will Wood and running back Aiden Gibson, which brought the total to 20 players. These new commitments come from regions including New Jersey and Utah. StateCollege.com
- ➤ Penn State track and field athlete Hayley Kitching broke her own 800-meter school record this week when she ran 1:59.15 in the finals, following a record-setting 1:59.60 during Thursday’s prelims that earned her a spot at nationals. Daily Collegian
