  • A former Penn State wide receiver was operating an ATV in Bradford County Friday evening when a deer jumped in front of it—resulting in his passenger dying at the scene and him suffering serious injuries while both were without safety gear.  PennLive

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Penn State announced that seven Commonwealth campuses will close by spring 2027 due to declining enrollments and financial pressures. University leaders said students enrolling in fall can finish their degrees and affected staff will be reassigned or supported in career transitions — a significant change for the Commonwealth system.  Daily Collegian

  • LaVar Arrington II, a Penn State true freshman linebacker wearing No. 11, enrolled early to join spring drills and quickly gained attention for his athletic ability and potential.
