- ➤ 814 Originals launched on May 14 at The State Theatre in State College to showcase local musicians by premiering five music videos of live original performances. - ➤ The Penn State Smeal College of Business Ethics Case Team has won first place at the International Business Ethics Case Competition for the fifth year in a row, earning top honors in the 25-minute and 90-second presentations under team captain Angela Lam Li—a win that highlights their strong focus on ethical issues in marketing ZYN oral nicotine patches to protect underage consumers. The team, which also includes sophomores Brenna Boer, Tyler Scher and Noa Becker, addressed ambiguous messaging that boosted usage among young people and argued for a proactive marketing approach to build trust between companies and the public. - ➤ The Penn State Board of Trustees met in session Thursday to discuss President Neeli Bendapudi’s plan to close the DuBois campus due to low enrollment and an aging population— they set a public meeting on May 22 at 5 p.m. to share more details via livestream.
