  • Penn State’s Shaver’s Creek celebrates 50 years of outdoor education and conservation (started in 1976) by hosting events like the annual Birding Cup fundraiser and public workshops on nature. The center has grown from a single room to a vibrant hub for community members and student leadership.  StateCollege.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • Penn State women’s lacrosse ended its season with a 7-5 loss to Stanford at U-M Lacrosse Stadium, finishing 12-7 and improving from last year’s 7-9 record under new coach Kayla Treanor. Fans now look ahead to next February when a new season will begin.  Onward State
