- ➤ Penn State baseball beat Maryland 8-4 on Sunday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to break a six-game Big Ten losing streak and avoid a series sweep (the team built a lead in the fourth and fifth innings and withstood a two-hour rain delay). Onward State
- ➤ Penn State men’s gymnastics senior Josh Karnes qualified on May 4 for the 2025 Pan American Championships and will compete with USA Gymnastics—this marks his second qualification after earning a spot in 2023. The games will be held in Asunción—Paraguay from August 9 to 23. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State wrestling star Bo Nickal lost via technical knockout to Reinier de Ridder at UFC Fight Night on May 3 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The loss ended his undefeated record & he did not make any comment about his future plans. Onward State
- ➤ Penn State softball lost its final regular season series to Washington after an 8 to 0 shutout on Sunday. The Nittany Lions will begin Big Ten tournament play in West Lafayette on Wednesday — the team enters the tournament without much momentum. Onward State
