  • Snow Shoe EMS chief Sharon Nilson will ride from Jamestown, Va. to Spartanburg, S.C. this spring as part of the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride honoring fallen EMS professionals, raising funds to support memorial efforts (donations can be sent to her at 101 S. Michellin Ave.).  StateCollege.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • Penn State softball won a score of 14 to 0 over NC Central Sunday morning at the Tennessee Invitational, ending a split day on Saturday. The Nittany Lions will travel to Salem, Virginia Friday to begin the Hokie Invite.  Daily Collegian
  • Penn State women's lacrosse beat Cornell 11-9 in a close game that extended their winning streak and kept the team undefeated. They come home to play Colgate at Noon on Wednesday, March 4.  Onward State
  • A look back at Penn State men’s basketball shows odd contests from a 1902 game with professors as referees to a 2025 road win at the Hazell Center. The series traces unusual opponents and venues that have shaped the program’s long history in our community.  Daily Collegian
  • At Rec Hall, No.6 Penn State won 316.700 to 308.200 over No.12 Springfield as solid routines by Underhill and Smith helped secure the victory; the team will face Michigan on Saturday in Ann Arbor.  Daily Collegian
  • Penn State baseball avoided a sweep in the Bahamas by winning 9-8 in extra innings on Sunday against Indiana State, after dropping two earlier games. The Nittany Lions will return home tomorrow to host St. John’s at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park at 5:30 p.m.  Onward State
  • Nine Penn State football players showcased their skills at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, aiming to revive their prospects after a difficult 2025 season. Notable performers like Vega Ioane and Drew Allar delivered strong stats as scouts evaluate their potential for the upcoming draft.  Onward State
  • Penn State women's hockey earned a spot in the conference title contest after winning a two-game series against Syracuse at Pegula Ice Arena (7-0 and 2-1) with Olympic gold medalist Tessa Janecke leading the offense. They will face Mercyhurst on Saturday, March 7.  Onward State
