- ➤ THON 2026 is happening this weekend at the Bryce Jordan Center with 46 hours of dancing, singing, and fundraising for kids. Donations must be received by 11:59 p.m. (Saturday, Feb. 21) for committee credit or by 11:59 a.m. (Sunday, Feb. 22) for overall totals. Onward State

- ➤ Harvard professor Danielle Allen will discuss why the Declaration of Independence still matters on March 19 at 5 p.m. at the HUB-Robeson Center’s Freeman Auditorium in Penn State (the event is free and includes a Q&A session). Penn State
- ➤ Penn State students who produce Centre County Report won the Best of Festival award from the Broadcast Education Association for their April 4, 2025 episode in a competition of over 2,250 entries. The newscast airs on WPSU-TV across Centre County and streams online as a practical lab for Bellisario College of Communications students. Penn State
- ➤ Penn State students can enter the Remixed: The Human - AI Art Contest hosted by the College of Arts and Architecture’s CPAD and Palmer Museum. Submissions featuring AI-remixed artworks from 33 public domain pieces are due by Mar. 15 with winners set to receive cash prizes up to $200. Penn State
- ➤ A Penn State team from the Colleges of IST and Engineering is one of 10 global finalists in the Amazon Nova AI Challenge, a contest that tests AI with red team methods. The team competed in a bootcamp in Seattle Feb. 2-4 and will continue tournament rounds through October at the challenge summit. Penn State
- ➤ Registration is open for the 2026 Undergraduate Exhibition—a virtual event April 20-22 with an in‑person poster session at Alumni Hall and a School of Music event at Recital Hall on April 21 at Penn State University Park, with applications closing March 17 (Symposium account required). - ➤ Penn State researchers reported in Nature that a new polymer capacitor made from two inexpensive plastics stores four times the energy at temperatures up to 482 F & could reduce device size. They plan to bring the patent-pending material to market soon. Penn State

- ➤ Penn State (No. 23) women's lacrosse beat Pitt 12-11 in overtime at Holuba Hall after a game of shifting leads. The team will travel to Philadelphia to face Drexel at noon on Sunday. Daily Collegian

- ➤ After forward Dane Dowiak's season-ending injury, Luke Misa has taken on an expanded role to center the top line by winning faceoffs and stabilizing play. He now leads Penn State men's hockey as the team prepares for upcoming matchups with Michigan and Ohio State. Onward State
- ➤ Former Penn State women's soccer players Kaitlyn MacBean and Julia Raich signed professional contracts in Europe; MacBean joined IFK Norrköping to play through 2026 and Raich signed with 1.FC Sľovácko Ženy in the Czech Republic after impressive collegiate careers in 2025. Daily Collegian
