- ➤ Dancers preparing for THON Weekend 2026 are following wellness tips and using new guides to get ready to stand 46 hours in support of families impacted by childhood cancer. - ➤ State College marks 50 years of Black History Month with a series of community events this February. A racial healing day is scheduled at the Municipal Building on Feb. 3, a jazz concert on Feb. 5, a Douglass Day transcription workshop on Feb. 13 and family storytelling at the Schlow Centre on Feb. 28. - ➤ Penn State wrestlers defeated No.6 Nebraska 26-12 on Friday after recording 30 takedowns and four bonus point wins, giving them valuable practice. They will face No.10 Michigan in Ann Arbor on Friday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. as they continue their dual meet season. Onward State
- ➤ Penn State beat Rutgers 196.375 to 194.575 in a gymnastics meet in Piscataway, New Jersey today. The team will face LSU in Baton Rouge Friday at 7:30 p.m. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State men’s hockey will hold a jersey auction benefiting State College Coyotes with game-day jerseys from Saturday’s Beaver Stadium game up for bidding. Bidding starts at $475 and ends Saturday, February 14 at 11:59 p.m. Onward State
- ➤ Penn State's men's volleyball lost to Hawaii three to one Saturday night at Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions dropped to four straight losses and will host their THON match on Friday, Feb. 6. Onward State
- ➤ The Penn State men's hockey game drew 74,575 fans for a historic matchup at Beaver Stadium last weekend (the game ended in a 5-4 overtime loss to Michigan State), and many hope the outdoor event becomes an annual tradition. Onward State
- ➤ After key players were sidelined by illness and injury, Penn State men's basketball earned its first Big Ten win Sunday by beating Minnesota 77-75. The win was led by duo Josh Reed + Freddie Dilione, and the team will face Michigan at Crisler Center at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Onward State
- ➤ No. 7 Penn State men's lacrosse beat Colgate 18-14 in its season opener at Holuba Hall on Sunday at noon (coach Jeff Tambroni switched netminders to spark a four-goal swing) and will face Villanova at Panzer Stadium at 1 p.m. Saturday. Daily Collegian
- ➤ The Penn State men’s basketball team beat Minnesota 77-75 yesterday at the Bryce Jordan Center with a last-second shot by Kayden Mingo, ending an eight-game Big Ten losing streak. Coach Mike Rhoades said the win boosts his team+ builds momentum for upcoming conference play. Daily Collegian
