- ➤ The Penn State women’s lacrosse team held a scrimmage Friday that gave media and fans an early look at coach Kayla Treanor’s new squad. Underclassmen and sophomores led a fast-paced, low-turnover game that showcased team depth ahead of the season opener. Daily Collegian
- ➤ At Bryce Jordan Center, Penn State freshman wrestler PJ Duke experienced his first loss as Nebraska used a slow, stalling strategy that kept him from scoring and allowed defending champion Antrell Taylor to win the tiebreaker. - ➤ Penn State wrestler Luke Lilledahl led his team to an early win Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center with a tech fall against unranked Alan Koehler — his unbeaten run in the 125 pound class lifts the mood for upcoming dual matches in State College. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Freshman phenom Gavin McKenna (2 goals, 1 assist and 3 points) shined at Beaver Stadium on Saturday as Penn State lost to Michigan State. He said connecting with fans and teammates made the game special. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State women's hockey player Kendall Butze set the program record for defensemen points (85) while assisting two goals in a 5 to 2 win over RMU on Saturday. With teammates at the Olympics, she remains essential as the team gears up for tougher postseason matchups. Daily Collegian
- ➤ No. 4 Penn State women's hockey rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win 5-2 against Robert Morris in the first outdoor game at Beaver Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 1 (the team played without three forwards now in Milan for the Winter Olympic Games). Daily Collegian
- ➤ No. 14 Penn State men's volleyball fell in a four-set battle at Rec Hall against No. 3 Hawai'i — the Nittany Lions now look to bounce back on Friday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in their THON Match against Saint Francis. Daily Collegian
- ➤ On Saturday, Penn State secured its first 2028 commitment when defensive back Deonte Flemings Jr., a 6-foot-3, 190-pound football recruit from McDowell High School in Erie, joined head coach Matt Campbell's team. Flemings visited campus during the weekend and had offers from Notre Dame, Pitt, West Virginia, and Syracuse. StateCollege.com
