- ➤ Penn State hockey swept Notre Dame 6-3 at Pegula Ice Arena on Saturday night. The team will hit the road for a series against Wisconsin next weekend, with games set for 7:00 p.m. Friday and 8:30 p.m. Saturday. StateCollege.com
- ➤ On Saturday, Penn State women's hockey beat Syracuse 3-2 at the Tennity Ice Pavilion, led by Janecke's two goals & Campbell's 31 saves. The Nittany Lions will travel to face No. 10 Cornell Tuesday at 6 p.m. on I-81. Onward State
- ➤ No. 4 Penn State women's hockey secured a season-sweep over Syracuse with a three-to-two win on Saturday at Tennity Ice Pavilion, thanks to captain Tessa Janecke's two goals that lifted the team to a record of 21 to 4. The team will travel to Ithaca to face Cornell next. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Penn State wrestlers will travel to Evanston today at 3 p.m. to face Northwestern in their second dual match of the weekend (streamed on Big Ten Plus), aiming to extend their winning streak after a strong win against Iowa. Daily Collegian
- ➤ Former Penn State running back Corey Smith transferred to Toledo Saturday and will have three years of eligibility remaining + he is the second Nittany Lion to join the Rockets after linebacker Kari Jackson. Onward State
- ➤ Former Penn State tight end Tyler Warren is named a Pro Bowl alternate after Brock Bowers was placed on injured reserve. He is the first tight end from Penn State to earn the honor since 1988 and enjoyed a record-breaking rookie season with the Colts. Onward State
- ➤ Former Penn State linebacker Kari Jackson transferred to Toledo on Saturday, retaining three years of eligibility after entering the transfer portal on Jan. 2. He chose Toledo after a visit to Purdue + seeking a fresh start outside the Big Ten. Onward State
- ➤ Penn State track and field star Hayley Kitching broke the school record in the women's 1000-meter run at the Nittany Lion Challenge with a time of 2:38.45; she now holds three records in Happy Valley. Daily Collegian
- ➤ No. 13 Penn State men's volleyball upset No. 9 Lewis Saturday night at Rec Hall with a 3-1 victory, as freshman Tristan Hassell led with 13 kills & the Lions will travel to Lebanon on Friday, Jan. 23 for a two-game series streamed on the GLVC Sports Network. Onward State
